Psychotherapy is an evidence based treatment modality proven to be an effective tool to treat the emotional disorders of children and adolescents and adults. Psychotherapy is a collaborative individual therapeutic process to assess difficulties and symptoms, challenge thinking patterns and change maladaptive behaviour.

Parents- Infants- Toddlers:

Infants and toddlers may have trouble with feeding, temper tantrums or developmental delays or parents may be facing challenges in meeting the needs of their infant/ toddler. Working together with parents, psychotherapy looks at how parents can understand challenging behaviors, and help build, restore or create secure attachments.

Child- Adolescent Therapy:

A child or adolescent's behavior is a gateway into any sort of distress they may be going through. Parents may notice unexplained problems with mood, sleep, appetite, aggressive behavior, social or academic functioning. Often these changes are a result of emotional challenges and may interfere with a child's development. Adverse situations (trauma, bullying, major illness in family, death, divorce etc) may also be a cause of distress for a child and adolescent and working with a therapist can help make sense of their troubling thoughts and feelings. The goal of psychotherapy would be to restore an overall sense of wellbeing (social and emotional) to help with their  capacity to learn and grow.
